Part-A 2

                                   Activity 2

1. Did you find anything that you never knew existed
before?
Ans: We found places which we thought wouldn't be so frequent.

2. Were the numbers and types of plant and animal
species different for different microhabitats? What
could be the reasons for these differences?
Ans: There were more animal and plant species in the first microhabitat as it was an area with fertilizers rich soil and moisture. The second microhabitat didn't have as much as plant and animal species as it did not get much moisture and was a secluded area.

3. Where do the plants in the microhabitat above
ground get water and nourishment from?
Ans: The microhabitat above ground got its nourishment and water from the moss locking moisture in it.

4. Do some animals seem to prefer certain types of
microhabitats (such as damp ones or dry ones)
more than other animals?
Ans: Ants were seen in both the microhabitats but flowers were present in only one microhabitat as it would be hard for flowers to grow without moisture and proper nourishment the second habitat was situated in a secluded area with less sunlight.
